A little propaganda poster for King Koopa, I figure he has to pull his troops from somewhere. Inked by hand and colored in Photoshop, lettering was added in Indesign. p.s. I hate the name Bowser, King Koopa sounds more badass and regal.
Talk about realistic. Nice. Although there's nothing with the name Bowser in my book. If you were in charge, would you really change his name at the risk of there being too many meanings for Koopa? It's probably best if it's left as his last name.
This is simply amazing. Everything about it is fantastic. The colours are fittingly menacing and the "propaganda mood" is spot on. The fact that they're all looking towards the same direction lets you know they mean business. Also, very generous of you to give us the high-resolution version!
You might be interested to know that I've included your piece in an article on videogamegeek.com about great fan-made posters. In fact, this is the work that inspired the whole article!! Of course, it credits the work and links back to this page. Here is the link: videogamegeek.com/blogpost/233…
Thank you. I'm glad my piece could help you shed your aversion to video game fan art. It was a mighty fine article and I'm humbled to be included in it along with several other amazing pieces of art. Keep on writing and I'll keep on drawing friend.
Mario is a psychotic plumber addicted to steroids (mushrooms), Peach is a manipulative, bloodthirsty 'princess' who forced Mario to kill thousands of Goombas and Koopas, and the Toads are a high-class society of racists. Bowser is in fact the good guy here, part of a resistance organization out to end Peach's reign of prejudice, racial holocaust and terror. That's why he attacks Mario and kidnaps Peach all the time; he's got every right to.
Therefore, JOIN THE COUP AND FIGHT FOR THE JUSTICE OF THE MUSHROOM KINGDOM!!
